Fulfilling God’s Purpose

When we follow Jesus, we need to have a desire to want to know who He is and what He wants us to do. God already has our purpose before we were born, and that purpose has not changed. Jeremiah 1:5-7 says, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Then said I, Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child; for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever command thee thou shalt speak.”

In order to fulfill that purpose we will need to start learning, reading, and studying our Bible. We must seek to know Him more than we want to know our friends and family. Deuteronomy 4:49 states, “But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.”  He is open to accepting us even with all of our flaws and struggles. He just wants us to seek Him with everything within us.

We always want to listen to the voice of God but if we aren’t familiar with His voice how will we know it’s Him? This is why we must read the word because John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God.” So as we spring into our purpose let us continue to read our Bible and follow the path of righteousness because that is what we were called to do.
